2005 Ford Mustang engine light on - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

A couple of days ago, the engine light came on. I took the car to AutoZone where they checked the codes, and PO 463 came up. I have also been having some problems with my gas gauge not reading correctly. Could these two be related somehow? Anyone have similar problems? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....

Trouble Code: P0463

Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input

Possible Causes:

Fuel level sensor connector is damaged or shorted

Fuel tank has been over-filled

FLI signal circuit is shorted to VREF (5v or 12v)

PCM has failed

Anyone know how to go about checking/replacing the fuel level sensor?

hmm.....i would know how to fix the problem had it been a new edge stang so my only advice is take it to your local ford dealer
