2005 Ford Mustang Instrument Cluster
This is important information for anyone who has experienced problems with their 2005 Ford Mustang instrument cluster after 60K miles.
In my case, all my gauges went out and I was told my instrument cluster was faulty a replacement would cost me anywhere from $700-$800. My vehicle is no longer under warranty. I contacted the Ford customer service line to find out if any recalls had been made for this issue and none have been made as of yet. No assistance is currently being provided for repairs by Ford unless you are still under warranty.
However, for all those who find themselves in my situation there is something we can do. I was advised to contact the Transportation Saftey Hotline and file a compliant. This is very simple to do it takes about 5mins. The number to call is 1800-424-9393 or 888-327-4236. If many complaints are submitted for the same issue, an investigator will be assigned and if he/she determines this is a saftey issue, they will contact Ford and work with them to put out a recall and or provide some assistance with cost of repairs. Please take the time to do this if you are having problems with your instrument cluster. Thank you.
