frown 2005 Instrument cluster issues

I have a 2005 Ford Mustang Convertible V-6 ...

I am having an issue with the instrument panel, my gauges aren't working properly, the spedometer sits at 120 constantly, my heat gauge works when it wants to, my fuel gauge isnt accurate... my brake lights have issues...

I called a FORD dealer and was told it was an instrument cluster issue. I have about 64000 miles and out of warranty... anyone know of any recalls or perhaps FORD fixing this known issue?

I am a single mom and can't afford the 750-1000 to fix this issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My best suggestion would be to call Ford Customer Service, and present them with the situation. Tell them the dealer you called said it may be the Instrument Cluster, and they would have to diagnose it to be sure. tell them your finnancial situation, and you may get some help. I can't guarentee they will help you, but it's worth a try. I doubt they will fully pay for the diagnostics and repair, but they may agree to pay half, or something else.
Let us know what happens.
