2005 Window Motor Problem

Hey everyone, Im not sure if my window motor is bad or if it is electrical.

When I open my driver side door the window goes down about 2.5in and will not go back up when I close it. Also, if I try to lower or raise my window it will only go in increments (about 2in up and 2.5in down) which means my auto up and down aren't working either. My passenger window is fine and fully functional.

So what do you think it could be? Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried deprogramming but that hasn't worked and Ford told me I need a new motor, but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks in advanced to anyone who takes the time to read this.

Re: 2005 Window Motor Problem

sounds like a new motor to me.
Try this first when the window stops give the door trim a little hit and see if it starts again.
The most likly issue will be the brushes are worn in the motor.
