Finally got fed up with my 2007 Focus ST and getting what I really wanted in the first place, a 2007 Mustang GT! Still in the process of working out the figures though. So far I've spoken with a friend who used to be a mechanic at a Ford dealership and to his experiance is that the only reoccuring issue was an E-break problem. Its not that I don't trust him, he has serviced countless vehicles there but generally speaking I like to get a larger picture of everything. So my question is...
2007 Mustang GT owners, what sort of ISSUES have you experianced with your vehicle and what is your FAVORITE thing about it?
I appreciate any responces, only have a few hours before I go back to haggle! :)

No Real issues to speak of, there are a couple of TSB's out to fix a Fuel fill issue, clunk in front end and a leak on the passanger side during hard rain.
I have a 2005 GT and now have 45,000 miles and no issues, Except I need More Horsepower, thats the only real problem with the Mustang, 300hp is weak since the Honda accord makes close to that with a V6. And GM has a Direct Injected V6 making 300hp.
I hope the 2010 GT has atleast 375hp or it will not compete with the new Camaro that will be between 375 -425 HP and weight the same as a GT.
Other than that I love my 2005 Mineral Grey Mustang GT..

I understand your concerns with horsepower but a close look at trq numbers is also important. Just alone not being labeled a RICER is a big plus..

Ah True, but Torque and HP are Very Close on these cars.
Advertised 300hp 320TQ Actual Stock Rear Wheel HP and TQ are Close.
Mine was 260hp 271tq Stock Dyno Runs after Bolt-ons and Tune 301hp 310tq
The LSx GM Motors were Equal HP and TQ, so I assume HP and TQ to be about the same.
Full Bolt-ons Inclued:
JLT II Cold Air Intake
SCT Xcal Tune 93 oct
Steeda Under Drive Pulleys
Steeda Charge Motion Delete Plates
Aluminum Driveshaft
CHE Lower Control Arm
FRPP 4.10:1 Gears
BFG Drag Radials mounted on Stock Rims
12.83 @ 106.66 in the 1/4 mile
My Top Speed at VIR 142.3 MPH on the Back straight.
My 2007 GTCS has 81,000 mi. to date no problems. Did all scheduled service. First brake job at 79,000 miles, rear only, front had 4 mil left.
Replaced battery 2 times because I live in Arizona. Replaced tires at 60,000. Went with P Zero Nero, better riding, more grip on dry and wet.
Dealer installed Airaid cold air intake, when new, improved power and mpg. I really enjoy driving this car.

Make sure it comes with complete repair records, most specifically make sure the engine oil has been changed religiously, and the spark plugs have been changed. The spark plugs in the Modular 3V V8 can break if not removed correctly.
