I've noticed a scum of oil that keeps re-appearing in my overflow tank which means I have a head gasket job coming up. My engine is a 5.0 out of a 91 'Stang, since I'm in there, is there any indicators that'll tell you what cam you have if it's not stock, other than measuring the lobes?

Could possibly be a number on the cam's end under the timing gear. If so Google that number + Camshaft in the search box and see what you come up with. I've bought a few back in the day (Summit & Competition Cams) and they had numbers on the end.
