I'm new at building ford motors.I was a chevy guy for a long time.I was woundering about changing my cam in my 90 gt.Do u have to chang the push rods if u go .500 lift?or can u go smaller and dont have to change the push rods.I know chevys u hardly ever need to change the push rods and "Why does ford need to change the rods to smaller ones".
I rarely hear about needing different pushrods because of a cam. You need to be swapping cam, lifters, rockers, springs, and all before you'd need to worry about different rods... but you can't run more than .500" of lift with your stock pistons, last I'd heard.
