66 Suspension Rebuild woes

I am currently rebuilding the front end of my '66 Mustang. I have a couple of questions that I hope a few of you could help me with. Here they are:

1. I am switching to polyurethane bushings and I am having problems with the lower control arms. I guess I have to use the outer shell of the original bushing. Is there an "easy" way to get that shell to separate from the rubber inside?
2. I also have a Monte Carlo bar I am trying to install. I tried to fit it inside but there wasn't quite enough space. Is there any technique to installing one of these?

Thanks in advance

Ben

I can help you with the Monet Carlo Bar!

I'm assuming that since you're having trouble fitting it, it's because you have the straight-six. I believe the bars were made for v8's. People say to just move the bar forward a few inches to clear the air cleaner. Drilling new hols is all you have to do.
