The only 4 cyl. turbo was the Mustang SVO built in the mid-1980's.

there was a turbo four besides the svo it was carbed and yes i have seen them before
Was it a GT ???? If so, I would really like to see it. Are you talking about the 79 Pace car and Cobra ? Those had a 2.3L Turbo and Ford stop making that engine, I think by 1981.

The clutch pedal assembly I have for my Crown Victoria came from a 1983 Mustang GT Turbo.
Turbo 2.3 with half the block missing (owner had welded the wastegate shut and it go boom)
Well, I'm about to eat crow. In Canada there was a 82 Mustang GT Turbo but not in the US. Ford did bring the turbo 2.3L back in 83-84 GT model years. In those two years less than 5,000 were sold. As a matter of fact only 556 were made in 1983. I'll be honest, I was a gearhead teenager at the time. I never heard of anyone owning or any magazines talking about a Mustang Turbo GT, just the SVO.
Rare is the '83 Turbo GT. It has a small, loyal following. The only identification is on the fenders and rear deck.

Yes they have 2 years 83-84 GT Turbo 2.3L, it has an lx package, you could get convertables, they're not that rare in 84, svo's had the same motors that year, the only real noticable difference is a higher hood, 2 quarter panel stickers, 1 trunck sticker, and a tachometer that reads to 8,00 rpm
