Re: '82 gt turbo

I live in Victoria BC Canada and I own a 1983 mustang GT turbo. It is the only one I have seen and it is really hard to find info on them. I have mached the SIN Number and it did come stock with a turbo charged 2.3L engine. I belive only 604 where made at the end of the 1983 year. It was an a thunderbird turbo engine that ford put in the gt and they sold for more than the 5.0 that year and but out 145 horses as to the 175 in the 5.0. I have done some mods to mine and now have the turbo intercooled and boosting at 13 psi and get about 190 to 200 horse.

That's awesome. If I was to ever own a Mustang, it'd definitely be an old GT Turbo. They're so freaking cool and so unique...

p.s. who ever wrote the first post do some reserch before u open ur big mouth. cause i hate having to prove all u non believers that ur wrong so next time read up before u talk k thanx

p.s. any reall mustang fan knos that

Re: '82 gt turbo

My brother has a 1983 Turbo GT for sale. 75,000 miles, has been in storage for over 18 years. Needs cleaned up, totally original condition, just missing the stereo system. Black with red stripes, t-tops, etc.

Re: '82 gt turbo

Look! Information about a car that doesn't exist!!!! 1983 Mustang GT 1984 Mustang GT

And look again! Pictures of one!!! 1982-1993 Mustang GT Registry Photo Gallery - 1984 GT's

And another one!!! 1982-1993 Mustang GT Registry Photo Gallery - 1984 GT's

And yet another one!!!!!! 1982-1993 Mustang GT Registry Photo Gallery - 1984 GT's

Can you believe it? Another non-existant car!!!!!!! 1982-1993 Mustang GT Registry Photo Gallery - 1984 GT's

Are you getting the picture? Yes, they made non-SVO 4-cylinder turbo GT's in 1983 and 1984.

The lack of knowledge in some of the people that post here is really appalling.

Re: '82 gt turbo

I got a 84 gt turbo last summer form my bro as a gift and i want to fix it up. my question is what is the est mpg on those, i had a 88 gt convert and loved it but needed a truck so i traded up to a power stroke but have always had a thing for this 84 gt turbo

Whats the value for it restored compared to changing it over to a 5.0????

I would hate to cut up a collectors car if it really is better to fix it factory. whats your in put guys and gals.
