I had an '87 LX 5.0L for a little over a year, in Nov. of '88 I bought another one, an '89 LX 5.0L, which I still have. It just turned 51,000 miles a couple of days ago. Any other 5.0L Stangs out there?

Besides the two 1997 CVPI's I still have my 1989 Mustang LX Hatch..

We have been doing a little work on it, and have it running in the mid
to low 12's right now. Not sure what to do next. I live in an emission
free state, so we might try dropping a stroked carb'd 351 in it. :)

You have to love those fox bodied rockets..

I have both a Vic and a 5.0.

I love 'em both. I hope they decide to make the Blackhawk with a supercharger, that way I won't need to save a bunch of money and do a "Paul Upgrade" to my old Vic.

Whatever happens, the 5.0 comes first!

Stewart, I wouldn't mind doing the "Paul Upgrade" to one of my
CVPI's, he has a lot of good ideas, but the $$ to HP ratio is a
little bit out of my price range :)

Guess I'll just have to stick with my '89 LX Stang for more efficient
dollar per horsepower mods..

I agree. It would cost some bucks. I've swapped a couple emails with Nascar Mike regarding upgardes that he's done to his Vic, and he has some nice idea's that aren't costing an arm and a leg.

I even picked up a spare CVPI engine and drive train, including the whole rear end, with the hopes of modifying the heck out of it and then dropping it into my Vic. But I'll never have the money to do what I want. I'll probably end up selling the engine and other stuff.
