93 Mustang 5.0? - Ford Forums

I have a 93 mustang 5.0, or so I've been told. Is there any way of checking maybe with the numbers, to tell whether it is a Mustang motor?

93 was the last year for the 5.0 v-8 they came that way from factory, there are even some 94's with the 5.0 v-8 during the phaze-out period, i would love to own one, thats cool a 94 w/ 5.0 badges.
your vin. 8th diget will tell you what engine your care came with
you can also lookup the part no. on the block

A Mustang with the V8 option had a 5.0 in it up until 1995, then they went to the 4.6 in 1996.

I'm an old school 5.0 guy myself.

95 was the lat year of the mighty 5.0 but its making a comeback for 2011 it will have a 3 valve 400 horsepower 5.0! anyways check the vin number on it. even if it started out life as a 4 cylinder it has a 5.0 in it now right? if its a 93 cobra or GT it is definetly a 5.0 if it is an LX some came with a 5.0 aswell
