In the middle of removing / the steering rack from a 93 mustang. I got the two front bolts out but I was wondering if anyone knew what size that BIG bolt is on the front of the rack?

Also want to make sure I got everything on track so I can replace it with my new one tomorrow. Seems straight forward, I need to make sure I can get the right size wrench for the big bolt though.

1. Remove out tie rods from steering knuckle
2. Remove two nuts on the front attached to the subframe.
3. Remove big ass bolt?
4. Remove line for power steering to drain fluid
5. Unbolt steering column.
6. Drop down the rack.

Bump for the night. Anybody know the size of that bolt?

Not really a lot of traffic here, but I'll update anyway. I managed to that bolt of the rack, turned out to be a plastic cap that I easily could have unthreaded with an adjustable wrench, didn't think it was plastic.

BUT, you need a 1-1/2 wrench if it's being stubborn, there's also a smaller nut on the other side for the steering column.

I got the rack out, just need to get myself a new high pressure line because I blew it and overtightened it instead of loosening it

Oh well.
