Can someone please tell me the amp rating for the stock alternator on a 96 mustang GT 4.6L?

Dont know if this helps , from a couple of suppliers .

1996-98 Mustang 4.6L Gt 130 Amp Alternator

It normally is a 130 amp alternator.

Is there a way to tell for sure, such as testing with a meter or is it possibly written somewhere on the alternator?

They often are stamped on the alternator frame.

Yep it is 130 (had to practically crawl inside the engine to find the sticker)
