I just picked up a 96 mustang gt and the water pump is leaking out the hole on the top of the water pump. The guy I got it from said he replaced the pump not many miles ago, however it has been sitting for a few years, does it need another waterpump or could it be something els?

I also have another prob, the car runns horible cold misses and sputters, runs rich, however once it warms up it runs great. Any ideas on that?

Yes it will need another water pump.

I will let someone else chime in on the missing and sputtering.

Take it to AutoZone and they will pull codes for free. While there, get a can of MAF cleaner and clean the MAF.
