Re: Accident with 94 Mustang GT
Well, I would have made sure that she hit the side of my vehicle. Accidents can be tricky without witnesses. Police here do a quick investigation of the scene and make their analysis, even if its wrong, depending on the evidence at hand at the time. I would imagine a '94 GT could brake 60-60 in less than 140feet with stock brakes. Not sure about 35mph, but bringing that up will also open a can of worms if your not careful, such as weight in the car, condition of the car (as it's no longer new) and when your brakes were last serviced and how long pedal travel is if you want to get technical.
As she crossed double yellow lines you can bring that up for your defense. Something to do is to go back to the area in which the accident occurred and take photos that you can use in court to make detail notes of the surrounding traffic as well as yourself and the other vehicle in question. Pictures say a thousand words, even if they're recreated!
Otherwise, just wish for the best.
