Does the BA 5.4 have knock sensors?
I have heard that it doesn't use them, if so does that mean the computer does not control timing retard if the motor pings?
If it does control it, how?

The cars dont run one from the factory though we can add one easy enough in the software..... Be quite amazed but if you are having an engine ping thats standard on the correct fuel.

I thought the computer in these things used the spark plugs as knock sensors by checking the resistance in the plug wires or something?

Knock sensors are not helping the F6 its still getting knocked (Joke)

Not true, and they dont have plug wires(leads)
And i had lots of pinging problems on the circuit with the piggy back computer i had been running.

as for the F6 copping a knocking someone should deliver a knockout.(bloody euro turbo trash)

Thats because the piggy back cant control the timings that the factory computer delivers when it sensors cold air and cooler water temps.
