Hi everyone,

I've got a '92 Mustang and it's time for new tires. I used Michelins from 1992 to about 2003, and finally got tired of only getting 30,000 miles to them, besides paying around $175 per tire. (I don't drive the car hard, don't burn rubber, don't race.)

I went with BF Goodrich KDWS' on this last round, got a bit more milage out of them and spent less. But thought before I buy them again, or maybe the Goodrich G-Force Sport, any suggestions out there for the best or your favorite tires for this car?

I'd like to not spend more than $100-110 per tire, and of course would like to get more than 30,000 miles on them. I live on the West Coast, so no snow. Just sun and winter rain.

PS: I don't need a "sexy" tire... just ones that last beyond 30k miles, work well with this car and don't cost an arm & leg.

I think you will be hard pressed to get beyond 30,000miles for tires. Its more a function of the tire parameters...speed rating, temp rating, traction rating, etc. Than it is the manufacturer. No of course some will wear better than others, but you are not going to get 45000miles out of a set of comparable tires, especially at the price range you are looking at.
