I use Meguiars the best stuff around. BUT, if I need to clean my car & I am in a rush, and I need the car to feel slippery... I use the Turtle Zip Wax Car Wash... but there is a trick to it. Rinse the car off with cool water, but fill the wash bucket with a liberal amount of the Turtle Zip Wax Car Wash soap and HOT water. Use a good mitt and the car will be slippery when dried. I do that when ever I need to do a fast cleaning between details. Works great.

A very good line of products is the Meguiar's NXT wax and their car wash. Easy to apply and remove (always buff with microfiber towels).

If your car needs polish to remove swirls or light scratches, you need to use a polish + random orbital machine (like the Porter Cable) before you apply wax. If you are new to detailing your car, I suggest you go to www.autopia.org and start there. It is a encyclopedia for car care.

Sorry but orbitals are a waste of money and a waste of whatever product you are using. They absorbe just as much as you would actually apply to the car in most cases. Why waste your money on that and then lose your chemicals in the pad itself instead of on the car.

Besides you do not need an orbital to remove swirls and light scratches. That is just a lazymans way of applying it. I do all my applications by hand. No chance in burning through the clear; or depending on the year of your car the paint, by doing it by hand
