Tom G Registered User Join Date: Jan 2010 Posts: 1	Borg Warner Tran SR4 Pilot Bearing I would like to replace the pilot bearing. I have the transmission out of the car and removed the bearing cover The shaft with the bearing moves about 1/4 inch out then sticks. Is there something retaining it on the inside or do I need a slap hammer

cootertwo Registered User Join Date: Jan 2010 Posts: 1	Re: Borg Warner Tran SR4 Pilot Bearing The pilot bearing is in the end of the crankshaft. It sounds like you are talking about the input shaft bearing, which is in the transmission.
