Hi. I have a 68 mustang deluxe with a potentially interesting history, and I would like to find out if it is true. The people I bought it off told me a full history including that it was originally awarded to a race car driver as a prize. Everything they told me, but this, I have been able to verify. If anyone has a way to match VIN numbers to any records on race prizes it would be greatly appreciated. My VIN is 8R01J124354.

Hi. You could try Marti Auto works for info. They have some original sales sheets for Mustangs but I dont think it includes the 68 unfortunately. There may be some info there that will help you though.
