Restoring a 66 Convertible and I can rent or buy the eq. needed to media blast my car, but I think I would rather have it dipped to get the cowls and other areas. Does anyone have an idea of how to look up companies that doe this to get an estimate? Should I check with paint shops?

Media blast?????? Is that the same as sand blasting?

Yes, but instead of sand its small pieces of plastic I think. Like the next generation sand blasting.

Cool deal, I would check with paint and body shops to see if they knew of anyone that does it or they may do it.

They recycle or the little balls as well, so is good for the environment, and does just as good a job as the sand as well.

I have had several friend who have had thier mustangs bead blasted (media blasted) They swear by it. Not as harsh as sand blasting and you will not find bits of sand for years to come.

I intend to go this way when resto starts on my 66
