EEC-V Owners look here !!!!

In Discussions with Jerry@SCT, he mentioned he only had X amount of ECU-Dumps.

For the EEC-V Edit to be sucessful in running on ALL EEC-V's, And i'm guessing EEC-IV's, he will need as many ECU Binary's as possible (and the appropriate codes, and spec list ie, Car model/series, auto/man, diff)

So, in aid for him to get the 200 more thats out there, i have taken the liberty to set this post up to collect as many ECU-Dumps as possible.

What do you need you ask? a EEC-Sucker tool. If you dont have one? Dont worry. I DO.... So you would have to organise a time with me to do a dump of the code. (I am located in melbourne, eastern suburbs)

Otherwise, If you are electronically minded, you can download the circuit diagram from here http://www.dannyshosting.com/ford/EC...s/eecsk501.zip and build the unit yourself..

However, I did not design this circuit, so i will give NO responsibility if you 1) Kill your LPT Port, or 2) Kill your EEC-V or 3) Kill Yourself (dunno how, but better list it!!) The Circuit works for me is all i'm saying

However, you need to remove All Plastics, or Carpet (depending on car model), and remove the pop rivet so that the ecu is in a removeable state.

Then the ECU will need to be removed, and opened so the J3 connector can be cleaned of its gunk, and then the sucker unit will plug into the J3 port and sucked out.

IF there's anyone interested, please have a look at your PCM, and list the code here (to make sure we dont already have it) and the "Standard" specs of the car.

Ie, AU2 XR8 5litre Automatic with Adaptive shift, 3.45:1

Regards,

Danny

Re: EEC-V Owners look here !!!!

I might try to get over to see you one day to give you my VCT code. As I've already got the chiptorque chip the ECU removal and gunk clean is already done so it should be pretty simple to just plug in.

Can you PM me where you are please? I will try and orgainse it in the next few weeks as the VCT is certainly one ECU that NEEDS an edit for sure. Mix ECU with auto and you can imagine how good an edit will be.

Re: EEC-V Owners look here !!!!

thats an idea, however. we would need power (for a laptop, and regulated 12volt power supply). But i would feel as though i'd be under the pump :)

But, the hardest bit is cleaning the j3 connector on the ecu.. I used a bit of sandpaper, and retinned the copper tracks that were exposed.

So unless people could come to the bbq having access to their PCM/ECU, and already cleaned their J3 connectors, it should be a relativly simple process.

obviously i dont wanna sit there and clean 20 peoples j3 connector :>

Re: EEC-V Owners look here !!!!

Yes i second the notion that cleaning the J3 adapter is a pain in the butt. I missed one pin when i put the CAPA chip in and there was some......unpleasantness.... (wouldnt idle, thermos on with accessories lol).
