With the white plug unpluged, move the EEC so its in this position, to allow for a 10mm socket to undo the plug. The loom is very tight, be careful not to pull on it.
Feed the loom from behind rather than yanking on the EEC
NOTE: in order to get slack, there is 2 loom clips which plug the loom into part of the dash (so it doesnt drop onto the passengers feet)..

This is the plug covering the J3 Connector, there's another sticker which lists 12RB as well, my ecu code

This is the EEC-V with the 6 screws removed (the front comes off, and the back drops off too)
Note the Connector on the right hand side.. That is the J3 Connector
That J3 connector (along with the whole entire EEC-V) is covered in a silicon type residue.. THE WHOLE THING!! CHIPS TRACKS BOARD AND ALL
That will only need to be removed from the J3 socket.. There is various ways to doing this, however, i used fine sandpaper until i hit the copper, and then i tinned the contacts lightly with a bit of solder.. i DO NOT recommend doing it this way.. There is some sort of chemical you can use which will desolve the silicon in that region

Back of EEC-V.. Note the J3 connector again on the right hand side.. This side needs to be cleaned as well.

Circuit all hooked up and dumping..
For some strange reason, i was very unsucessful in sucking the code out.. (It came out, however, it did not verify) and all the times i tried to dump the code, none of them matched the original time i sucked the code out.. It seems there was alot of interferance.
Previously i used a different laptop to do the job. on the weekend i will pull it all out again, and try another laptop, see if i get better results. (By the way, i used Dos, not Win98)
Its got something to do with the parallel port.
