Well after a heap of us asking and asking in various threads if we are going to even get a complete localy supported tuning system. Ala EDIT. I have started a thread for the sole purpose of owners of ECCV managed cars EF - AU3 to show they are wanting answers and or hope that some thing is out there to help us with these ECU's without having to go for a complete aftermarket computers.
All of which have asked and been completely ignored or given extremly little hope form either APS or SCT. And i have Pm'd Street Tuner, APS, SCT and havent recieved a reply from any of them and that was just to ask how much the eccv was affected but torque reduction.
I personally (AU2xr8 Auto) along with Grunter ("SECRET NEW CAR" Auto) and Casper (AU1 xr6 VCT auto) want the torque reduction out of our cars. Along with the other benifits that An edit can provide. Apart from the Shift points/speed and rpm limiters that we can already play with via a chiptorque j3)
If you own a ECCV car dont carry on in this thread with needless chatlets keep this a a register of interest type thing ,just say you are one of the ones seriously interested in having a decent tuning system for these ECUs. And mention what you already have if anything EG chiptorque J3 or unichip and your model of car eg : au2xr8 auto
Lets see how much interest there actually is on Fordforums
APS - SCT - CHIPTORQUE feel free to fill us in if you are prepared to help us out or not....
I'd be dead set interested in this when it happens, so I will throw my name in here too. Currently running stock EL six with extractors and exhaust, would be hoping to use this product to see just how far i could go N/A before I turbocharge the sucker.
Am also currently trying to help out the EEC community by hounding the bloke in the states who makes TwEECer
Add me to that list. I also have posted questions on Where's Boss edit, Will EECV ever get an edit and the SCT Advantage tech questions threads, PM's, with not much success.
There are more Aussie Falcons with the EECV ECU than there is whatever the ECU is in the BA. It's been eight years plus since the EECV was introduced in the Aussie Fords, the BA has been out two years. All I have heard is that SCT is working on one to be released this December/early next year, but answering a few questions now might help both the potential customer and programer figure what is needed for a successfull product.
I sincierly hope the guys in the know ie: Jerry and the gand @SCT, Street Tuner and aps with their new edit, jump on board and sell their products by letting us all know how these tuning products will work and answer a few questions. Please?
hi sylox, i thought in the Capa/sct thread they said they were going to support the EEC-V in the near future.
My brother Hamo he is currently using a Unichip and he loves it, i am sure he would like see if theres any more to be gained by some sort of editing of his EEC-V..
I may be wrong; I heard the Computer in the BA is a very close match to the computer that Ford put in there F-Series Trucks in the States, which is the biggest selling vehicle in America for the last 26 years.
So they had been working on it for some time in the States, and us Aussie's BA owners are also lucky enough to get benefit from it.

Yes, you are very lucky Mark and I really hope that one or both of these edits gets the Boss motor to where it should be...in front.
This still doesnt answer or issue for EEC V though and, considering its been in the US for many, many years as well, makes you wonder why it isnt supported already.
add my little brother to that list, i am sure he would be more than interested in a EEC-V edit.
Casper what about Jim Mock cant they get anything going with a EEC-V edit, they would use it more than anyone...like you said if there are many members cars wanting a edit and are willing to put up money for this, might be worth while for JMM to at least look into it ..

Whoops, sorry Mark, I ment to add Hamo to the last list.
I have spoken to Jim and Brendan about this at length. They have looked into it in detail a while ago however determined at the time is was not viable as they would need the EEC V coding and, at that time, it was not avaliable. They are very interested in what SCT have mentioned with the EEC V supprt after Christmas.
I for one would love to see this type of tuning tool in JMM hands, I think there wiuld be a lot of VERY fast EEC IV and EEC V cars benifiting from it very quickly.
