Question Engine Oil

I have a 68 Stang fitted with a later, 1978, small block 302 V8

What grade of engine oil should I be using (I am currently using 10/40W)?

Cheers

Kels,

The 10-40 should be OK. Does the engine hold good oil pressure??

Does it get cold where you are?? Or very hot??

I prefer synthetic oil myself..Amsoil to be exact. Alittle pricey, but great stuff. I run it in everything I own and change it at 10,000 miles.

I run 10-40 and live in FL.

Thumbs up Oil

Dave,

Hello again!

This is the UK so mainly it is cold and wet!!! I only run the car in the summer however when even we have a bit of sun

I will stick with the 10/40W and maybe try some synthetic

Thanks again
