hand me down spark plugs

Had a guy pass me some unused plugs when I bought some manuals from him.

He had a 2000 mustang V8, I have a 2000 mustang V6.

my old plugs say "Motorcraft Platinum AWSF 42EG" and his say "Motorcraft Platinum AGSF 32PM 8M"

They seem 90% the same. The only thing I have noticed is that the V8 plug has twice the threads on it. The threads run all the way up the plug to the "shoulder" where the plug bottoms out against the head. Thread pitch/size is the same though. Overall size and other stuff is the same as well

so I figure I can use them with the only thing I dont know is if these are different heat range or some other internal spec.

what do you guys think?

Re: hand me down spark plugs

ok so after reading some other forums I am comfortable with these plugs with the exception of heat range, which I have no clue on. If I understand correctly the V8 plugs are on range lower. I only have a daily driver in the hot south no mods so I assume that moving one heat range down on plugs will not be an issue?

Any comments on heat ranges?

Yes I know Im being cheap by not getting the "correct" plugs but if the V8 plugs will be ok then I dont mind making use of free plugs
