Looks like a friend of mine may be picking up a project for the next year or two. It's a 71 convertible with the 302-2V and a C4. Needs quite a bit of work -- his mother's had it for about five years, and she's done her best to run it into the ground. Minor spots of body rust, and I'd be willing to wager the floorpan is starting to rust under the carpeting. However, it's still in pretty good condition, and definitely worth a restoration. I'm suprised it's survived her as well as it has -- as a typical example, it's got a "radiator overflow bottle" comprised of an empty Prestone bottle zip-tied to the upper radiator mounting bracket, connected to the cap with a bit of rubber hosing. LOL It needs several years worth of work, but we've got space, time, and the resources to do it with. Needless to say, you'll likely be hearing from us quite a bit on here as this project progresses.

Chuck

It's starting to look like the hard part is going to be prying it away from the current owner. It's got serious body rust in some places, but all she wants us to do right now is fix it "just enough" that she can keep driving it. Apparently she seems to feel she's not yet done running it into the ground ... grr. We're prepared to do several years worth of restoration and modification as necessary, and we've got several people just waiting to dive in ... just have to get it away so we can start tearing it down.

Chuck
