I am looking for a reasonable way to lock a 7.5 rearend on an 86 mustang. I was looking for a mini spool to do this but have been unable to find one for a 7.5 ford rearend. I know that the gears can be welded but don't want to have to do that if possible. Please help with any other suggestions. Thanks.

Thanks for your input. I got lucky and found a mustang with an 8.8 rear end in it with a locking mechanism already installed. Do you think that it will just swap over in place of the 7.5? I am going to change the complete rearend.

Direct fit!

If it has disc brakes, it will have different wheel offset and require a master cylinder/proportioning valve upgrade.
