Help 93 Vert with drivability problem

I have`a 1993 Mustang Convertible 2.3L with an automatic and today out of the blue the car wouldnt move from a stop light when I step on the gas the car clunks and dies. When i put the car in Park and start it back up it runs fine and has no issues. But as soon as I put it in gear the car stalls. I checked all vacuum lines and all are ok. Any suggestions on where to start and what to check would be great

Is it giving you a Check Engine light or not?

Re: Help 93 Vert with drivability problem

Check engine light code 222,223
I changed ignition modules and it did not solve problem.

Here is the issue: I jack the car up and can put it in gear (reverse or drive) and it is fine, but when I step on the brake to slow the car down it slows it down but when it gets to about 5 MPH the engine bogs down and shuts off. It seems like the torque converter is not unlocking.

Any ideas? Im gonna pull my hair out soon!
