Help Please

I have a 98 mustang and it is bucking. I changed the fuel filter and fuel pump. My car is still bucking, any idea?

Re: Help Please

mass air flow is a good idea but it can also be egr valve.. there is egr vavle sensor and there is a relay that supplys the egr valve with vaccum. check both relays. I had this same problem with my mustang with the bucking and it was that sensor that supplys the vaccum to the egr valve. Also try cleaning the egr valve if it has alot of carbon build up can cause the bucking.

Re: Help Please

The fuel pump relay is located in the back of the vehicle inside in the trunk
if you are looking in the truck for the outside it is on the left under the panel tord the bumper. it is a little sensor that is square is shape and has a red button on the bottom of it.

Lightbulb Re: Help Please

could be the mass air flow but it can also be the egr valve. eather the sensor or the vavle is clogged. also there is a sensor that controls the amount of vaccum that goes to the egr valve it could be that as well. the egr valve sensor should be putting out 4.6 volts ruffly if not it is bad +or- 1 volt and the egr valve should move freely and hold a vaccum.
