Hey I recently bought a 96 gt 4.6l and someone changed the transmission to a 03 trans it is a 5 speed but here is the delema I now have no speedometer I am told that it is due to the fact that the 03 is an electronic sensor not a mechanical like the original trans? someone please help I live on base and I really need to get this fixed. If you run a mechanical sensor/sender to the transmission, it should bolt right where the electronic sending unit would be located.

You can get a guage from Autometer that will work for the electronic pickup. its better than just making the stock one work, as you can easily recalabrate it for tire size changes and gear changes. I put a 04 cobra t56 in my 92 stang and had to do that. I am glad i did cause the tranny and the guages rock!
