i have a 91 with 5.0 it has been sitting a while im upgrading to 135 amp alternator i got it in and i started it then it stalled then i started it again and the starter would not stop turning now when i hook the battery up the car will start to turn over even if the keys are not even in it is this something i did wrong or did something else go bad when i was doing it?

Sounds like maybe the S terminal is being bypassed? Maybe the B+ battery terminal and the S terminal are somehow touching each other and is making a connection so the starter is constantly drawing battery power because it has no control that the S circuit provides.
