Saw a 'sonic blue' 05 GT on an Ebay listing(was told at Cleveland auto show only the light blue would be offered). Now I really, really want one- heres the stock vs quick photoshop of what I'd like to do to it- minor changes to make it more "69-ish": no quarter glass, 69 emblems, slats, black wing, torque-thrust-d or bullitt wheels...also think a 69 cougar eliminator(flatter boss 429 type) scoop would go well with it. so what do you think?

Now we're talkin', that looks much better (I don't like that quarter glass), just lower it a little. Also, maybe some '67-'68 style vents would look better instead of the quarter window?
heres why I'm partial to black-on-blue fastbacks...hate to say it but I think I like the slightly modified 05 pic as much as the 69...my wifes liable to kill me if I dont quit talking about getting an 05...
would love to get the 69 done(had the motor out since '84- or was it '85...) and have a 'matching' 05...

Looks better without the windows, apart from if you were sitting in the back seat. I would bet that the setup you have done in your photoshop will come out as a special edition in the future (perhaps without the window fill-in or rear slats).
I'm sure it wont take the aftermarket too long to come up with panels/louvers to stick over those windows. Something like the 67-68 Shelby moulding would look good IMHO.

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.
Saw the coolest hood/shaker setup at Columbus "all ford" swapmeet-
check out www.fangperformance.com - they added a center spear to the hoodline (ala 1969), and use a 2004 mach1 shaker assembly- the guy had a black one sitting there and it looked perfect. He also had their rear spoiler on it- kinda flares up just like a 69-70...looked nice, but to me the wing is still "it" for a fastback, and I dunno if the pedestal mounted wing would sit right like it does on a 69-70...their site is under construction, but you can kinda see what their shaker hood looks like on there.
