MACH1 Shaker Scoop Noise

MACH1s may exhibit a rattle noise emanating from the hood of the vehicle. This noise can occur at any engine RPM speed and during both acceleration and deceleration.

To solve the issue, Ford will install four revised hood scoop insulators (2L7Z-9P686-AA) which should eliminate the noise. Ford dealers are advised to take special precautions when handling the shaker scoop to prevent scratches or marring.

This advisory can be preformed by your Ford or Lincoln Mercury dealer under TSB 03-22-01 at no cost to consumers under the provisions of the new vehicle limited warranty coverage.
