I just finished tearing down a 351 windsor i bought out of a 1985 ecoline van. Obviously, it wasn't made with a lot of horsepower so I'm looking into a new cam, porting the heads etc. I'm getting ready to start contacting machinists about reworking the block and other parts. What all should I look into doing other than having it acid dipped, honed, and chaved? Also, under a reasonable budget, what else can I do to increase compression?
