Question Metal on Metal sound. . .

Hello everyone. I did search this forum for the below question and was unable to find any matches to my issue, so I apologize in advance if this is a previously discussed issue. I will also try to be as discriptive as possible.

I have a Mustang (2001) Auto V6 Conv. Recently, I've been hearing some low pitched (squeaking?) sound coming from the car. I can't really tell where its coming from. It occurs on two separate occasions. . .

1) when I am rolling at low speeds ( pulling into a parking space ) with no acceleration. . . and

2) when I at medium speeds ( 30-40 ) ( while hitting the acceleration only )

I have a feeling its something maybe in the tires or drivetrain, since it occurs both with and without hitting the gas as mentioned above. Maybe the rear too. If only I could more accurately locate the sound.

I appreciate any input on this topic. Thank you. . . .
