We were at the Pier Mustang Show last weekend and this car was there:

</table>

Apparently, it's the most expensive Mustang sold. He claims he paid over 100K after tax and such.

We've got more pictures from the show at:

There was actually two Saleen Mustangs at this show. This was only one of them. The other was just as nice, but not convertable, and not as expensive.

Would have loved either, but the convertable is a nice touch.

What type of intake manifold is on that Saleen in the picture?

confused

I can't believe that anyone would pay that much for a Saleen except for the S7. You have a Mustang body with some bolt-ons. I guarantee you that for under $50,000, you can build a Mustang into a car that will compete with any Saleen out there.
Pictured below is one of (2) two '95 S351 Saleens. This car sold for $65,000.00 new. My friend sold the car in '99 for $32,000.00, with less than 5000 miles on it. My Cobra sold new in '95 for $24,000.00 and still has a book value of $17,000.00 for stock condition.
I just can't see spending that kind of money on a car that is sitll a basic Mustang.

This Saleen was on the back of the Pier.

I have pictures of every car at the pier at:
http://www.sixthgearonline.com/showroom/

Also, that intake manifold is the stock that comes with it.

Apparently (the guy claims), that is all original parts from Ford. He hasn't modded it at all. He bought it that way.

I would never pay that much for that car either. It was nice, but not $90,000+ nice. I'd rather look at another type of exotic or something.

O well. :)
