Re: The Mustang Survey

Survey says:

I bought a blue '81 2.3 auto Ttop many years back. The 4 banger died ... '79 pace car 302 goes in. A friend had a similar red 'stang that bit the dust. I swapped the entire interior to red ... and had it painted metallic red. I then found an 89 donor car. It donated true dual exhaust - and I bought shorty headers. Also, the 8.8 posi w/quad shocks was transplanted - as well as ground effects and taillights. Last, a T5 was swapped in for the C4.

Sadly, it has sat for several years after needing a synchro and a flex plate.
You can guess from my username where my attention lies ... '70 Stingray.

Re: The Mustang Survey

I dont have one yet, but one day i will !

I voted for the first batch, ever since i saw a 1964 1/2 mustang i fell in love with the shape of that car and thats what i would love to own one day, not really that partial to the fastbacks tho, just doesnt quite seem right to me

Re: The Mustang Survey

"Overdraft" named herself during the 5 year restoration!
She was a basketcase!3 coates of rattlecan paint over the original colour, dinged & bogged panels & a bloody Chrysler radiator in the back seat, behind the Comaro buckets in the front!
But..... she was a California car & there was very little rust.
Anyway that's history now......a little blood sweat & tears(a lot of money)
& the 5 years dissappeared in the snap of a finger when the Windsor fired up & we hit the bitchy!

Re: The Mustang Survey

73 Mach1 fitted with a 302c & based in the UK (yeah ok don't ask!)

not sure about lumping the 72's & 73's in with the Mk2/Mk3 though.
