The Turbinator DOES NOT WORK. It actually acts to obstruct airflow rather than promote airflow.
One thing in particular I noticed about the product "reviews" was that everyone said that they noticed an immediate "peppie" response. When you look at the installation instructions that the manufacturer provides the first thing they mention is to take off the battery leads for a 1/2 hour to reset the computer. Right there is the reason for the immediately noticed "peppie" response from the reviewers.
You don't have to install anything to the car to get that "peppie" response because resetting the ECU causes that "peppie" response period. The reason why is because as you drive your car the ECU will adjust its tables to your style of driving which is probably either city driving (stop & go) or highway driving (continuos average speeds). Over time these two driving types will load the ECU table with "conservative" numbers to try to economize gas mileage.
When you take the leads off the battery for a half-hour the ECU will reset itself to the factory defaults. In essence the default table setting will be less conservative and produce a "peppie" response for about a day or two and then the ECU will learn and adjust to more conservative numbers.
Those reviewers could have laid the Turbinator on the back seat of their car and then took the battery leads off the battery. Then they could hook the battery back up and run their car and they STILL ALL WOULD EXPERIENCED THE SAME PEPPIE RESPONSE WITH THE TURBINATOR SITTING ON THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR.
This is why some of Musatng folks including myself disconnect the battery for a short period of time at least once a month in order to mitigate the ECU conservative numbers caused by driving habits. I disconnect the battery to clear the tables out and get back that "peppie" response even though it is just for a day or two. During the summer I disconnect the battery weekly to keep the tables rebuilding fresh due to the hot and humid weather.
And another thing, the Turbinator only changes the flow pattern of the air..it does not cause air compression which is what a supercharger does do...it compresses the air which raises the O2 density of the air charge going into the engine. So the Turbinator being compared to a supercharger application is totally rediculous and comparing apples with oranges
The Turbinator makers are in essence preying on the general population's ignorance (like you) regarding the mechanics of airflow and power and how it all comes together to create horsepower.
You have been told numerous times it is a waste of money. There is nothing more to report about it. It is a waste of cash and its that plain and that simple.
Now if you choose to holler about my explanation being a sermon about battery disconnecting and miss the point totally about how the customers who used the Turbinators experienced an immediate "effect" despite the fact that the battery gets disconnected in the installation process and you still choose to pursue the buying of a Turbinator then I would just say to the readership to turn a deaf ear on you from this point forward because it is then obvious that no matter what we say to you just don't have the ability to comprehend the matter. Its again that plain and that simple.
