In the latest Motor Trend they are saying Ford plans to do a RWD sports car with a V8 based on the new Stang platform do out in 2004.

hmm. the cougar was originally a mustang knock-off, then became a t-bird clone, then died and was resurrected as the (unconfirmed) 98 probe, then died again.

ford needs to make up their mind on this one. if they bring it back, support it. i liked the original cougars. they had a few more creature comforts than their ford counterparts and looked similar to the 65-66 mustang.
