OBD I & II to my laptop?

I'm looking for a USB based code reader that will work with my laptop. I am perfectly able to find them, I'm just interested if anyone has experience with one or could suggest one, especially if it can program.

Thanks

Re: OBD I & II to my laptop?

look for elm327's or higher (I'm using elm327) and it works great. Actually bought a new one for my brother the other day. I would recommend a good software like proscan. You can get freebies from scantool.net and I think digimoto. Check out ebay there are a few you can get...not too pricey.
