Question Quick Help Appreciated

Does anybody know how to remove the automatic shift knob on a 95 stang? I bought a new knob and I took the one allen screw out of my old knob (auto with teh button) and it wont come off the stick.

Try twisting it, maybe it has a thread, look inside the new one, or maybe it only comes off with the button depressed.

Or more than likely it is stuck with age and will take a big effort to get off :0)
