Anyone know what the going rate is for a replacemment rear axle (for a 90' 5.0 liter LX ) from a junk yard? I've got another gearset (the original I think, 2.73) but don't have the time to do the swap.

You might try Mustang Parts Specialties, out of Winder, GA.

I just checked and they have the complete 86-93 8.8", 3.08
quad shock rear (complete) for $300.

They also have the same with a 2.73 ratio for $250.
