Question Roaring sound, 1994 mustang.

Ok, so I have a 1994 mustang, V6 3.8. And lately there is a roaring sound in the front. It occurs only during acceleration and between 30-60 mph (estimate). It also only occurs while turning the wheel to the left of letting it sit straight, if I turn it to the right it stops. At first I thought it was the power steering pump, but I replaced it today and it still continues. The rotaries are brand new. What are some other possibilities?

Re: Roaring sound, 1994 mustang.

Got a 94 myself. First thing I'd go after in the front wheel bearings. Jack the car up or get it on a lift, (preferable) and grab the wheel at 12:00 and 6:00 O'Clock and try to move it back and forth. If it has any play in it it's the bearing. Do both sides.

If this isn't the problem you may have a busted cord in you tire(s). This happened to me on a 2004 Saturn. I just rotated the front whels to the back and problems gone.

Mustang Man, I recall one other item. You might of thrown a wheel weight. Start with the easy stuff first, (AKA the cheap stuff), and work the problem that way.
1) Check bearings
2) Rotate tires
3) Have tires balanced.

Good luck
