Service Engine Light
Good Morning,
I have a question about the 2000 Ford Mustang's Service Engine Light. I recently purchased the car. The last two times I have gotten gas, the Service Engine Soon light has come on after three driving cycles. The first time we unhooked the battery and the light went off and did not come on again until I got gas again. We unhooked the battery because I thought I may have left the car running while I got gas.
Now the light is on again and I don't know what is wrong. I got premium gas at a Shell station since I thought the first gas may have bad. According to the owner's manual, this can be caused by water in the gas, gas cap not on correctly (we checked to make sure it was on correct and then waited three driving cycles), etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I love the car, but I don't like not knowing what is causing the light to come on.
Thanks,
Melissa
