Hey guys. Recently had a couple of fires in the bay of the beast due to the stupid holley carby and the shaker has been burnt pretty bad. Ive rung up local ford wreckers in australia and they beleive the american shaker is different to the australian XY GT shakers, and no one can find one.

Just wondering if there are any websites from the states i can look up and maybe get a quote. thanks guys!

I think most of the shaker is the same but Ford made different height bases depending on which motor it was fitted to. So a big block shaker fitted to small block car may not stick out of the bonnet.

Dunno if this helps, but I was going through my latest mustang monthly mag, and there was an ad for cast aluminum shaker tops, all black, including the adaptor ring to attach to the flapper lid assy... US $249.95

I had a complete shaker for a torino, only paid 20 bucks for it...long story short, saw a beautiful red 70 torino scj429 at parts store with chrome small filter sticking thru the hood- owner explained he'd just got the (512 I think) motor in and the hi-rise manifold wouldnt allow his shaker to fit and he didnt want to cut it up...I gave him the one I had, as I had no use for it- and had no idea what they were worth- and now repop top castings are available...i think the flapper lid was same for torino...coulda had a shaker for 250 for mine now. DOH! Ive seen complete ones go for near a grand on ebay...hate to think of all the stuff ive pitched over the years, mint original interior from my 69(went mach1, no place to store) two blue and one red interior for a 69 camaro, scrapped the 69 camaro as it was kinda rusty(a few yrs ago a friend paid $5K for one in far worse condition...from now on I'll keep everything :)

There is a place called Perogie Enterprises that has a heap of hard to find parts for Ford Muscle cars but they are not cheap. I think the shakers are recond and are around $2000 US. http://www.perogie.com/
