Shaker 500 coming on by itself!!!!!
I need some help, I'm at my wits end. About a month ago, I went to start my car, it's a 2006 V6, and it wouldn't start. I thought maybe the battery was just dead for some reason, but after I called roadside assistance, I had been sitting in the car, without the key in the ignition, and the CD player started making the noises it makes when it's jumping from disc to disc!! I put the key in the ignition and the radio came on full blast on some Tejano station I never listen to. Well, needless to say, when they got the car to the dealership, they couldn't find anything wrong, and it started right up. I picked it up the next day.
Last Thursday, it did it to me again, so it's been at the dealership for several days, and AGAIN, it starts right up each time. I'm getting really PO'ed. The shaker 500 is somehow coming on by itself and draining the battery, but if that's the case, why does it start after being towed to the dealership? Also, both times it has done this, the car hadn't been driven in a couple days, so I just told the service guy today to leave it in the lot for a couple days and not start it, to see if they could recreate the problem.
Does anyone have any idea of what's going on?
