i have a 1990 mustang gt and i just got a problem with shifting out of 4th.
some dude in a civic wanted to race so we dug, and after the race i went to shift out of 4th and it wouldnt budge, now it wont go in to 1st 2nd 3rd 5th
i have to jam it into reverse and it easily falls right into 4th.

can anyone help me out or maybe tell me what got screwed up

Either your pressure plate is bad, clutch cable out of adjustment/worn, or you have worn something in your trans.

I would start by inspecting the first two areas.
