Some time ago I posted here asking if anyone had heard of the continuation Mustangs ( 1st gen. style) made in the early 80's. I saw one in the local Wheel and Deal book here in Ohio. Was bnone by Carol Shelby.

I am not sure if I am remembering correctly, but it seems like I remember something about some early model Shelbys that Carrol Shelby had made but had never sold and they were sold in the early 80's, or something like that. Sorry age it getting to me...

I remember those cars, it was an early eighties project based on 66 pony interior convertibles. They were stripped down to nothing and completely rebuilt with nos everything, including many Shelby pieces. Somewhere in my giant pile of Mustang Monthly mags is the feature article. I saw one at a show once, but the car was generally snubbed because after all it's not real, and is something anyone with a bankroll could do.
